Why Youth Enrichment Services? We decided to start Leadership 101 Youth Enrichment Services in order to ensure the youth and young adults of today have ample opportunities to develop and showcase their talents. Today, unlike our past history, young people are being discouraged to lead their communities, lead their friends or lead their families. Leadership 101 Youth Enrichment Services provides three essential elements every young person wants: 1) An opportunity to be uplifted in a positive light to society at-large 2) Have the support to develop their God given skills and talents 3) Be respected in their communities as a positive and committed community member. Youth Enrichment Services Lecture Series: We have developed workshops around the young people we serve. We have come to understand that they do not want the traditional type presentations but instead enjoy discussing subjects pertinent to their day-to-day survival skills. Listed below are a few of the workshops: * Building Self Esteem and Assertiveness Skills * Coaching My Peers for Success: A Basic Leadership Skill * Conflict Management: Overcoming Peer Pressure * Developing My Personal Excellence Plan * Job Readiness for the 21st Century * Stress Management and Positive Results * Time Management: Who Has Time for It? If you would like additional information about other workshops we offer, please don't hesitate to contact trainingsupport@leadership101.net Youth Entrepreneurial Program Youth Entrepreneurial Program is designed to give each youth the opportunity to launch and operate their own/group micro-business. The program engages youth in activities designed to facilitate the progression involved in the innovation of business concepts, identify suitable and profitable business opportunities, explanation of procedures and the components required for the development of a successful business plan. We offer a multi-disciplinary team who will ensure a full scope of time and management expertise to the program curriculum as well as extra curricular activities. Components of the curriculum consist of: * Types of Business * Business Plan Development * Marketing * Legal Structures * Research & Development * Obtaining Funding for Start-ups * Tours of Businesses * Visiting a Bank/Opening an Account Movie Thoughts Popular media have always been an important touch point for young people. This program honors young people by honoring their culture, not by putting it down. Today, our media memories revolve around television and the three M’s—movies, music and magazines. Rather than turning away from popular media that inform the attitudes and interests of young people, this program is designed around some basic questions: * What was the theme? * What was the movie’s message? * What decisions were made and what factors were considered? * Who do you relate to in the story? Why? * What would you have done differently? |
